Is Subbo live?
The app is online at app.subboapp.com. It is new, so we are starting with a few friendly firms on a free 8-week trial before opening it to everyone.
Does Subbo file my CIS300 with HMRC?
Not yet. Subbo shows the month's figures and gives you a download. You file as you do now. Filing from the app is planned.
Does it check my subbies with HMRC?
Not from inside Subbo yet. You check a subbie on HMRC's own service as you do now, then record the rate and verification number in Subbo, and it uses that rate. Checking from inside Subbo is planned.
Does Subbo hold or move my money?
Never. You pay your workers and HMRC from your own bank. Subbo is software only.
Who is responsible if a figure is wrong?
You stay legally responsible for your tax and checks. Subbo helps you get them right and shows its working. That is why we want accountants to check the maths.
Is it accounting software?
No. No VAT returns, company tax or PAYE employees for now. It does the labour side: subbies, CIS, pay and right to work.
Which languages does the worker app speak?
English, Romanian, Polish, Bulgarian, Lithuanian and Portuguese. Five are our drafts being checked by native speakers.
Where is my data kept?
In a Supabase database intended to be in London. Some services we use (for hosting and email) may process data outside the UK. The draft privacy notice lists them and is waiting on a solicitor.
How much will it cost?
The draft is £25, £45 or £75 a month by firm size, no contract. Trial firms try it free and get a founder price.
